The Address is a free immersive ethno-documentary performance on housing in Côte-des-Neiges. This performance is co-produced with Amplifier and will be presented in May 2019.

The Address is a multimedia immersive ethnographic and documentary performance on the housing situation in Côte-des-Neiges. This series of performances engages its audience into the heart of housing issues, through the live encountering of individuals’ experience of the matter.

In this unique performance, the audience, instead of sitting passively in an auditorium, physically travels through an intermedia environment to discover real citizens and their stories. Taking place in a non-theatrical and non-institutional space in the Côte-des-Neiges neighbourhood, such as the floor of an industrial building, this show uncovers the voices of tenants, landlords, members of organizations defending the rights of tenants, activists, politicians, inspectors and real estate developers. The Address’ goal is to provide a horizontal and circular space for dialogue, one that can only exist in a well crafted performance setting, a craftswomanship only VISIBLE can provide.

The Address is a response to the 360°ethnography carried through by Amplifier, entitled #Amplifier CdN.
